These are great for place card holders or buffets label...inexpensive and can
be customized to your event's theme
Make pretty place card holders from home store finials. If the finials have a dowel at the base, snap off the dowel using pliers. Use a handsaw to cut a slit for a card, and sand the finials smooth. Paint in fun colors. Set out extras to display photos
This is so easy and can be made for any letter or number. I cut out a rough sketch of a #2 on poster board. I then used my 2" hole punch to cut out circles from coordinating paper to the party's theme. It turned out great....such a big impact for such a little amount of time and money!

Since having our BYOK beach party - I find kabobs to be my fav new party food.
Here is my latest fascinating kabob - salad style!
This past weekend we celebrated a friend's birthday at the beach and wanted to add an interesting twist to a typical potluck beach each guest was asked to bring their own kabob to share. This was my contribution - an antipasto kabob with salami, provolone cheese, marinated artichokes, cheese-filled tortellini, black olive and topped with a cherry tomato.
Our creative friends provided these amazing kabobs:
Buffalo Chicken and Celery
Grilled Pineapple and Mango
Grilled Shrimp and Boonie Peppers
Caprese Salad
Grilled Seitan, Onions, Mushrooms and Bell Peppers
Gummy Bears and Marshmallows
(made by the kids)
