"Back on Island" BBQ
After being off-island for a few months, this was a great way to see all our friends! One of the great parts of having an outdoor barbecue is that it requires little to no decorations. One of my friends arranged local flowers picked
from her yard and we are blessed with this amazing view!

As for the decorations, I set-up a children's table and lined it with a white linen with the addition of brown postal paper as a table runner. I used a variety of chairs found around the home and added a centerpiece of crayons, pretzels and goldfish.
The table was a work of art by the end of the barbecue.

I decorated the buffet table with a floor length white linen and covered it in the classic red and white checkered pattern. I used small tins to hold the silverware and napkins and decorated them with twine.
Our classic BBQ menu included hamburgers, hot dogs, hot links rolled in tortillas, broccoli salad, chipotle baked beans, watermelon and grape skewers and blueberry crumble. A refreshing pitcher of citrus flavored water helped keep us all stay cool, while the white sangria kept the good times going! I used small cups for individual broccoli salads and blueberry crumble. This is great for portion control and the blueberry crumble was easy to fill a small cup after dinner to eat right away or take home! I used bricks to help elevate food items on the table and white platters to make the food pop off the plate with color!
