Merry Christmas
The classic Christmas colors of red and green were the inspiration for this year's party. The festive decor included various apothecary jars full of red, white and green candies, boxes wrapped in red and white paper, Christmas bulb replacement lamps plus an assortment of ornaments.
The jar wrappers were a "Friday Freebie" from Ellinee's Wood Type Holiday Printable Kit. I simply printed the pattern, cut them out and secured it to the jars.
I purchased a variety of red and green ornaments for the backdrop of the buffet. I love the assorted sizes and textures, but made sure they were all the same shade of red or green. I ran the ornaments from the ceiling to the buffet table using green wrapping ribbon. This is a great decoration because it is also reusable or recycled into another holiday decoration.
To keep the kids entertained, I provided a gingerbread man decorating table and special water bottles with Santa and Frosty straws. For the adults, we hosted a White Elephant exchange

The menu included spiral ham and rolls, pesto cream cheese, hummus and ranch dip with julienned carrots and celery, herbed goat cheese and crostinis, cheese fondue with pretzels and sliced sausage.
The dessert table was also used for party favors. The selection of desserts included peanut butter hershey kiss cookies, chocoalte toffee pecan bars, chocolate covered marshmallow lollipops (rolled in peanut butter m&ms), Santa brownies and white chocolate dipped wafers. Cellaphane bags and ties were provided so guests could make their own goody bags with their desired sweets and candy. I created the "goody bag" sign using Microsoft Publisher and then mounted it on card stock.
