Just in time for Spring and so simple. All you need to do is cover your desired cupcake in sprinkles, add a sucker and shape either a gum drop or fruit roll-up into the shape of a leaf.

Not only is rolled silverware practical for your guests on a buffet...you can customize it to add to the theme or decor of your party

My goal of giving a gift or favor is that it is useful...cocktail napkins are a staple in my house - you never know when someone will stop by or drinks or appetizers. I think this is a great favor for a ladies happy hour, holiday party or even a garden party.
To "upgrade" your favor, instead of using themed paper napkins, purchase some nice cloth cocktail napkins and maybe monogram them. for each of your guests.

Here is another example of using a gift as decor for a baby shower. This is my favorite gift to give to parents! I purchase a raw wood box from a craft store and line the inside with a fabric that matches the baby's room (using a glue gun). Parents love to receive personalized gifts so I take the theme of the baby's room and place it on the front of the box. It is THE most useful gift....you always need more storage plus you can fill it with wonderful items such as books, bath accessories, clothes, etc... For this gift, I also made a door sign and photo holder to match his room. If you are hosting the shower - this would be a perfect centerpiece.

I love to use gifts as decor especially for wedding and baby showers! It is an easy theme that your mom or bride-to-be will appreciate since she has registered for these gifts to match her baby's room or home, plus it eliminates the needs to spend any extra money on decorations for the party.
For example, string a clothesline with clothes for the baby, make or purchase a diaper cake to include items from the registry, use toys as buffet decor - even the favor boxes add a pop of color. For a wedding shower, you can make or purchase a "kitchen cake" full of tea towels and utensils from the registry, use various vases as a centerpiece or even place a floral arrangement in the blender the couple has added to their wish list.
