This is a great way to add some zing to your refreshing summer beverages! Infusing your ice cubes with flavor will be an unexpected surprise to your typical lemonade, water or iced tea! Here are some of my favorites: lemon, lime, fresh berries and mint leaves.

This would be great to use as favors or decor at the party...an airplane theme is a great idea for a birthday party or baby shower.
The planes on the left were made from a stick of gum, 2 mints and a tootsie roll. The planes on the right were made from a Push Pop, stick of gum and 2 lifesavers. Both planes were secured with a rubber band.

I started with a Sweet Bread and just "dressed it up" into a hostess gift. Treating it as a gift, I wrapped the bread in a paper grocery bag. My girlfriend loves all natural products so I found a bamboo dish cloth and used twine to secure it around the bread. I cut a tag from the leftover grocery bag letting her know what was in the package. and lucky for me she wanted to open the package after lunch so we were able to enjoy the Blueberry Lemon Yogurt Bread together!

Whether you are hosting vegetarians or meat-lovers - this is sure to be a hit with all your guests! Our menu included mozzarella cheese, pulled pork, portuguese sausage, bell peppers, red and white onions, mushrooms, sliced tomatoes and black olives....but the possibilities are endless! I always like to make sure I include garlic infused oil to brush the dough/bread, crushed red pepper flakes, italian seasoning and grated parmesan cheese. Speaking of dough or bread - you can use pizza dough, pita bread or my favorite, tandoori naan bread.

Other great toppings include:
marinated artichokes hearts, sundried tomatoes, rotisserie chicken, fresh basil, white alfredo sauce, carmelized onions, shrimp, asparagus and feta cheese.

If you find yourself entertaining a lot, specifically large cocktail parties or buffets, than it is a great idea to invest in a set of "party silverware." Since you will probably only need forks, a restaurant supply chain is a great place to start your search. Choose and inexpensive, but nice set that you can pull out for parties. This will upgrade your parties appearance and save you from having to purchase plastic utensils each time.
